Begin by filling out the CONTACT page or by emailing, texting or calling Dave to see if he's available (or one of his associates) on your wedding day. The next step is to set up Wedding Inquiry Appointment via a phone call - this meeting is free. The purpose of the meeting is to answer any questions you may have and to see if Dave would be a good fit for you and your fiance. Next, you can book Dave (or an associate) by giving a $100 deposit to hold your wedding date. This can be done via PayPal on this website. You can also pay via Venmo or Zelle. After payment, you will receive a contract and resources to help you with your ceremony, and we will schedule your next appointment with Pastor Dave. Click here to CONTACT us.
We offer 3 options to choose from depending on the couple's needs. The 3 packages include the Ruby package, Emerald and Diamond packages. Dave offers premarital counseling in the later two packages. We aren't the lowest prices officiants out there, nor are we the highest - we are somewhere in the middle. We believe that booking a wedding officiant is an investment in your relationship. Yes, we highly recommend it for couples, however, we don't make it mandatory to marry a couple. However, premarital counseling helps to prepare couples for the ups and downs of marriage. I personally think it provides for a better wedding ceremony as we get to know each couple that we counsel, which helps us personalize the ceremony even more. Yes, all of our officiants are ordained and are able to perform any type of legally accepted ceremony. Dave was ordained through Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA. He has many years of pastoral experience and many years experience performing weddings. In addition, each of our pastors has a Masters of Divinity degree and a doctorate degree.
You may obtain a marriage license from any county courthouse in the state of California. You can apply for you marriage license online (which I recommend) and then go down to the courthouse together to pick it up. Your marriage license is valid for 90 days prior to your wedding date. You are NOT required to get married in the county where you purchase your marriage license. However, you must be married in California and you must file the license in the county where it was purchased. You can choose either a non-confidential or a confidential wedding license. I started Wedding Pastor Dave for couples who don’t attend church on a regular basis and who don’t know a minister personally. These couples are usually very SPIRITUAL but not necessarily religious and are not a member of any organized religion or part of any particular church. I have a passion for performing weddings and helping couples launch healthy marriages. I really enjoy getting to know couples and helping them craft incredible wedding ceremonies that are enjoyable, meaningful and memorable. I have some skilled associate pastors who work with me. I have the privilege of working with some of the most brilliant couples I’ve ever met. I’ve been married to my lovely wife Carrie for over 25 years and we have 3 amazing kids! Yes, we provide an introduction to the elements of a wedding ceremony, eBooks with samples for vows, readings, and the ring exchange, and a couples questionnaire to get to know your story and personalize the ceremony. We also provide you with a ceremony planning guide to organize your ideas and then we meet with you to get all of the elements in the right place, resulting in a customized manuscript. Lastly, we guide you through the wedding process from start to finish, from the planning, to the actual ceremony, to the signing and filing of your marriage license and making your marriage official.
